The management team of Kogi State Bureau of Public procurement undertook a three (3) day study visit to the Kaduna state Public procurement Authority between 18th and 20th April, 2018.
The team was warmly received by the Director-General of the Kaduna state Public Procurement Authority (KADPPA), Mr Thomas Gyang and his management team.
The Director-General Kaduna State Public Procurement Authority, in his welcome remark listed the benefits of this type of visit to includes:
- The observation of practical operations of the Authority,
- Peer reviews and
- First hand answers to worrying issues.
He also informed our team that Kaduna State Public Procurement bill was passed into law on June 1st, 2016, and states that the scope of the Kaduna State Public Procurement Law covers all procurement entities in the state and local government areas.
Three papers were presented as follows:
- The key provisions of Kaduna State Public procurement law, 2016.
- The operational structure of Kaduna State Public Procurement Authority and
- The Implementation strategy of the procurement process in Kaduna State.
At the end of the visit, The Director-General Kaduna State Public Procurement Authority expressed delight in having the privilege to host the Director-General Kogi State Bureau of Public Procurement and her team on a study visit. He hoped the visiting team found their time and experience worthwhile.
In her response the Director- General, Kogi State Bureau of Public Procurement Dr.(Mrs) Stella Adejoh expressed her desire to build Kogi State Bureau of Public Procurement to an enviable height and she thanked the Kaduna Public Procurement Authority Director- General and his team for their hospitality and dedication.
